Flippin’ out

A new page to share:

Yesterday, the four of us participated in Outrun the Sun, a fun run/walk to benefit melanoma research. We were there to support a friend of mine (and the sister of my best bud, Michele), who was diagnosed with malignant melanoma at the age of 32. (Wear your sunscreen!) Anyway, at the end of the walk, around 8:30 p.m., we were hanging out with friends and family when E asked her daddy to flip her. It's something she used to do pretty frequently, around age 3, probably, and hadn't thought about for a while. But she had a grand old time revisiting this favorite pastime. It's a good thing Chad had some energy left over after the walk; she's getting big!

Here's the journaling:

We had just finished a three-mile walk, Outrun the Sun (benefiting melanoma research), at Fort Benjamin Harrison when these pictures of you and Daddy were taken. It was about 8:30 p.m., and you had just walked two of the three miles. Yet you still had some energy to spare. It’s a good thing Daddy had some as well. • It won’t be long before you are too big to sit atop Daddy’s forearms and flip yourself over. In the meantime, you’ll enjoy a spin now and then. I have to admit: It does look like fun!

  1. I love this page! You can’t get the motion shots with my Kodak EasyShare. I’m jealous. 🙂
I’d be afraid I’d drop my kids if I tried this. And Chad’s so tall, you’d think they’d be scared to death! Seems like E enjoyed it though.

Thoughts? Agree? Disagree? What do you think?
